BIOGRAPHY:
Eden Iris is a singer-songwriter from Aotearoa New Zealand who has been described as “an artist in tune with the roaming troubadour wordsmiths of old” (Aldora Britain Records).
At 19, Eden moved to California with little more than a suitcase and a guitar, making Burbank, Los Angeles her home throughout her twenties. Immersing herself in the Hollywood singer-songwriter scene, she spent years honing her craft through co-writing and live performances at renowned venues including The Hotel Café.
Her songwriting soon gained international attention, with her single “Worse Things,” co-written and produced by acclaimed songwriter and producer Maia Sharp, receiving a premiere and feature from Billboard and American Songwriter, as well as coverage from independent music blogs around the world. Many of her singles received extensive radio play on Los Angeles’ 88.5 KCSN, with acclaimed DJ Nic Harcourt regularly spinning her songs.
A commanding live performer, Eden has shared stages with some of New Zealand’s most celebrated artists, including Tami Neilson, Troy Kingi, and Unknown Mortal Orchestra. She supported Troy Kingi at the Folk Alliance International Festival in New Orleans in 2020, and Unknown Mortal Orchestra at the You Are Us Concert in Los Angeles in 2019. Since returning to New Zealand, she has completed several national tours with her band, Eden Iris Trio.
Blending indie-folk and Americana with melodic pop sensibilities, Eden’s music carries the intimacy of a songwriter shaped by both sides of the Pacific. She is currently completing her sophomore album, scheduled for release in early 2027.
